1. Acceptance
By visiting Tentora or using an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tentora. Mandatory consumer rights always remain applicable.
2. Information tool — no guarantee
Tentora provides maps, routes, places, rules, facilities, and availability information only as a general trip-planning aid. We take reasonable care when reviewing sources but do not guarantee that information is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
Temporary closures, weather, land management, fire risk, reservations, works, local decisions, landowner decisions, and errors can change the situation. Labels such as “reviewed”, “legal”, or “officially designated” describe the last source review and are not a guarantee at the time of your visit.
3. Verify official information
Before departure and on site, always check the linked official source, current booking information, local signs, and instructions from land managers, owners, emergency services, and public authorities. Those sources take precedence over Tentora. Ask permission whenever required or uncertain.
4. Your responsibility and fines
You are responsible for complying with laws, access restrictions, booking and permit requirements, stay limits, fire bans, nature and waste rules, and instructions from owners or authorities.
Any fine, administrative penalty, removal or rescue cost, booking charge, damage claim, or other consequence caused by your conduct or non-compliance remains your responsibility. Tentora will not pay, reimburse, or challenge such amounts for you.
5. Safety and routes
Tentora is not an emergency, rescue, or professional navigation service. Suggested routes may be closed, private, dangerous, unsuitable, or impassable. Independently assess weather, terrain, traffic, season, fitness, experience, equipment, water, connectivity, and emergency options. Use suitable navigation tools.
6. Accounts
- Provide accurate details and protect your account and devices.
- Do not use another person’s account or share session tokens.
- You are responsible for account activity except activity demonstrably outside your control.
- We may restrict access for abuse, security risks, or serious breaches of these terms.
7. Permitted and prohibited use
Personal use, ordinary links, lawful quotation, and indexing by permitted search engines are welcome.
- No automated bulk extraction, scraping, or systematic collection without written permission.
- No republication as a competing map, database, directory, application, dataset, or commercial API.
- No bypassing robots.txt, access controls, rate limits, API restrictions, or security.
- No disruption, malicious code, excessive requests, or unauthorised access.
- No illegal, dangerous, environmentally harmful, or rights-infringing use.
8. Intellectual property and database rights
The Tentora name, design, original text, summaries, selection, verification, and presentation are protected to the extent allowed by law. Eligible database contents and substantial investments are protected by database rights.
Without permission, you may not extract or reuse the whole database or a substantial part, or repeatedly collect small parts in a way that harms normal exploitation. Facts, official documents, and third-party data remain subject to their own rights and licences. Legal exceptions remain unaffected.
9. Contributions
When contributing through GitHub or another channel, you confirm that you may lawfully share the material. You grant Tentora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to review, edit, translate, and publish it for Tentora. Do not submit private data, secrets, or material you do not have rights to.
10. Third-party services
Tentora uses or links to third parties including official sources, Vercel, Supabase, Google, Apple, BRouter, OpenFreeMap, and GitHub. We do not control their content, availability, terms, or data processing. Their terms may apply separately.
11. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue functions, data, or accounts for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or product development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent route storage.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tentora is not liable for loss resulting from inaccurate or outdated information, route suggestions, closures, denied access, data loss, third-party services, fines, or your decision to use a place or route.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death and personal injury where applicable law prohibits limitation. These terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
13. Governing law
Belgian law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protection in their country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent Belgian courts unless mandatory law provides another competent court.
